Finally, my turn came to write a post about Perfect Pattern Parcel #2!
Today is the LAST day for you to purchase PPP#2! What are you waiting for? Go and grab them!
Here are the patterns that are part of the parcel:
Hanami Top or Dress by Straight Grain Hosh Pants by LoubeeClothing Celestial Tee by Figgy’s September Tunic & Dress by Too Sweets Patterns Caroline Party Dress by Mouse House Creations
BONUS pattern: Prefontaine Shorts by Made With Moxie
I know you've been heard of and seen many fabulous creations from Perfect Pattern Parcel #2 (Me too!). In case you don't know much about PPP, this is it.
PPP is a new company that allows the buyer to select what they wish to pay for the bundled five patterns. A percentage of the sales goes to the designers of the patterns and the rest goes to charity. If you pay more than $24 you will 'unlock' the bonus pattern - the Prefontaine shorts by That Moxie Girl.
When I signed up for the blog tour of PPP#2, I decided to make an outfit using two patterns, Celestial Tee by Figgy’s and Hosh Pants by LoubeeClothing.
I really loved the shape and simplicity of this pattern but I wanted to add some twist on it. So I added ruffle sleeves and a bunny image.
I used this tutorial and a FREE bunny image to add a bunny image on tee using a transfer paper.
And I added chiffon ruffle sleeves. I will write a tutorial how to do that next week :)
I made same tees for both T and A. T’s one turned out a bit big on her now but she will grow soon like a weed.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention. The knit fabric is jersey sheet from Target! I still have plenty leftover. I will miss you, Target!!
2. Hosh Pants by LoubeeClothing
I’ve been in love with this pattern since a year ago or so. But I’ve also been intimidated to make it. Because A is super skinny and any pants for her age never fit her.
Since she has 5T lengths and 2T widths (and she is 5 yrs old), I used 5T lengths and 2T widths. And it worked!
The fabric is a stretch twill from JoAnn (this time, it’s not from remnants rack). I love the color and have been thinking about making jeans with this fabric for ME… hmm, is it too bold?
I love how this pants turned out and so does A. She really need some more Hosh pants for sure.
Happy Sewing!
Shino, I think that fabric would make awesome pants for you! :)
