all about Pumpkins.
We went to Pumpkin Patch last Saturday and got two pumpkins. It was really hot day and we didn't feel like it was fall at all. But it was fun.
And also October is for...
A's birthday.
She turned 5 at the beginning of October. I still feel wierd saying "she is 5". We came to the US when she was still 1. It's so ... fast. She didn't know any english words when we came here, and now, she can sing "Months of the year" and say all the months name in english (even though she can't say them in Japanese ;) .
We had her birthday party last Sunday afternoon at the place girls can have "Princess Birthday Party". Because two of her friends had their birthday parties there and A was invited to both of the parties, she HAD TO have her party there.
This is how the party place looked like. We had a "Real" Princess. She sang songs and girls had a dance, parade, fashion show and of course, tea party! All the guests could have dress-ups and hair-dos.
I'm not so big fan of Princesses right now but I loved them when I was a little girl. I can understand A's admiration for Princess and she was totally satisfied with this party, so I'm glad too.
And for my birthday girl, I made just a little gift.
A bag for her ballet shoes and..
one more bag for her tap shoes.
A started taking dance lesson which included ballet and tap and she needed bags for her shoes. Because she already has enough dresses so I just made practical things.
That's it for now.. I'm thinking about sewing for Project Sewn Sew Along and getting ready for KCW... not sure which I will choose... but you'll see it!
Happy Sewing!
( Not yet curved pumpkins at our front yard. this year, we will curve them for the first time!)
