I have some favorite sewing blogs. no big dill is one of them. I love everything Katy makes, love her photography and her adorable kids (6!).
I enjoyed watching her alphabet sewing and when she announced she would have Sew Along link party for alphabet sewing, I decided to join in.
This is what I made for letter "A". A is for "Anchor" and "Applique".
I used Sarah Jane for Micheal Miller Out To Sea collection fabric. Main fabric is Pirate Stripe Butter and contrast fabric is Anchors Away Gray.
The pattern for the top is from the Japanese Sewing Book "a sunny spot" everyday clothes for littel girls" .
Contrast fabric is used on the back and the neckline of that piece has elastic casing, so it can be worn without opening. And you see that little bow on the back neckline? I added little bit of lace at the hem of the contrast back piece to make it bit girly.
I made "Anchor Applique" using pattern from Tea Rose Home. Actually, I got inspiration for this top from her Anchor Pillow tutorial.
I already have some ideas for making "B" outfit and can't wait to start!
So, I'm off to my sewing machine now. Happy Sewing!
