If you are the latter one, be careful.
Here comes, Ruffles Galore!
Ruffles on the neckline.
And ruffled flowers on the body.
Then, more ruffles on the hem.
Enough ruffles? Well, me too.
I flipped Oliver + S Roller Skate Tunic for Flip This Pattern series of Frances Suzanne. I'ce participated from last month and it's so fun to flip those great patterns!
This time, what I changed were
1. Put ruffles around the neckline and the hem. Added two ruffled flowers to the body.
2. instead of lining, just finished the neck and the armhole with contrasted blind bindings.
3. for elastic casing on the waist, put on biased fabric on the right sides of the tunic to make ruffles, again.
That's it? Well, I think so.
I got this idea of ruffled tunic from Japanese Sewing Book, which is for women's clothes.
Fabric is Essex Linen and contrast fabric is Carnaby Street from Art Gallery Fabric.
And here comes photos in action!
I liked this more in action, actually.
Shorts are E&E's Bubble Pocket Shorts(Sailor Version). And fabric is Carnaby Street by Art Gallery Fabric, which I used for binding of the tunic. I will write more about shorts in another post.
Whew! This is what I did on KCW Day 3 & Day 4. I have three more project on my list for KCW but well, it won't be finished:)

I love it! The type of fabric you used, and the kind/size if ruffles make it *very* current and chic. Well done!

The combination of plain linen and the unfinished ruffles makes this stunning. (I sometimes get ruffle-y but have a complete aversion to ric-rac :) but this trim is spot-on with it's simplicity )
Great "Flip"

Thank you, Ledys! Yes, I think fabric choice was excellent! But I also am wondering what will happen if I use another type of fabric and make these ruffles!

Thank you so much, LightningMcStitch! I think this was too much if I had used print fabric. It turned out much beautiful than I thought and I'm so happy with the result!
