Today, I will write about some leftovers from my past project. They are two shorts which I sewed in about March or April just before I started blogging.
First one is this.
These shorts look like a ruffle skirt and they are meant to be so.
The pattern is from Japanese craft book "SWEET GIRLS CLOTHES"#9511. This book is the one of my first Japanese sewing books I bought in the beginning of ths year. I was really exctited about getting them and I liked these shorts' original one on the book. I wanted to make one, though I didn't have many fabrics (like I have now;). I decided to use this fabric, inspite it was not so light fabric and it didn't seem to be so appropriate to use for these shorts.
Of course, it didn't turn out like I expected. Not so fluttering. I think I should make another new one with lighter fabric. I still like this pattern.
Shorts have lace between first and second ruffles and tied on the left side. Cute little details, as you find many in Japanese sewing patterns.
Next one is this.
This looks like a skirt too, but they are shorts, again. The pattern is from Japanese craft book "EVERYDAY GIRLS CLOTHES"#7005. The fabric is linen which I think I got from Fabric.com (not Essex linen, so this one is sheer and light). This is easy to sew and looks cute and fluttering.
And I like this little detail (again!), The contrast fabric inside pocket!
A was wearing these shorts on the post about KCW too (with gingham tunic).
And the top she's wearing in these pictures above is same with the one I wrote about a little here. I like this really much, actually, I want this in my size ;). A likes this too. She just loves everything SRARKLY :)
That's it! Now I'm on vacation! I will be back on July 5th! Happy Sewing!
